NGOZI NWANZE (Mrs.)LLB., (HONS.),LL.M.,ACIS

Mrs. Ngozi Nwanze obtained her LL.B. (Law) Degree from the University of Jos in 1987 and was called to the Nigeria Bar in 1988. She holds an LL.M. Degree from the University of Lagos. She is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria. Between the year 1988 and 1990 Mrs. Nwanze worked in the Law Firms of Messrs lsiyaku Paiko & Co. and Chris Okunowo & Co.

Mrs. Nwanze then joined the insurance industry worked extensively at National Insurance Corporation of Nigeria (NICON) between the years 1990 to 2006 and left as a Manager in the Legal Department. She was the Group Company Secretary/Legal Adviser to the Siok Group. She has extensive experience in the Insurance Oil and Gas (Upsteam) Charter Parties, Maritime, Publishing and Banking Sectors. She has over the years provided legal advice on acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate finance.

She was Legal Adviser to the First International Bank Group in respect of its investment negotiations. She was also the Company Secretary of the Sun Publishing Limited. She also served as the Company Secretary to the First International Bank Group and in that capacity was responsible for the management of the company secretariats of the company in the five West African countries of its operation between 2011-16.
