Hauwa hold an LL.B.(Hons) Degree from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. She is a Chartered member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in the United Kingdom. She is a Certified Capital Market Operator. She gained tremendous experience in the areas of company law, securities, real property, telecommunication and information technology when she worked in the Law firm of Messrs, Kola Awodein U& Co.
She was also a Partner at Jade & Stone (Solicitors). Hauwa has considerable experience in insolvency work. She has advised banking clients as secured and unsecured creditors on debt recovery, receivership, liquidation and bankruptcy
